Where Pets Come First
Bowness Animal Hospital has been offering outstanding animal care in Bowness since January 2018. Sometimes it's tough to know where to turn when your dog or cat isn't feeling well. That's why we opened Bowness Animal Hospital in the NW Calgary. We treat every animal that walks through our doors as though it was our own.
We are excited to be a part of the Bowness community and offer routine veterinary services such as physical examinations, diagnostics, vaccinations and diet consultations. We offer spay, neuter, and dental services as well as other select surgeries. We are currently open 6 days a week for appointments.

DVM
Dr. Satnam Dhothar
Dr. Satnam was born in India and grew up on a farm. After Studying Veterinary Medicine at Punjab Agricultural University Ludhiana India in 1991, he worked as a Veterinarian for 10 years in India in a mixed animal practice. Dr. Satnam immigrated to Canada in 2002 with his wife and 2 daughters. He has been practicing veterinary medicine in Canada since 2006. In his free time he enjoys biking, hiking, and spending time with his family.

Jeannie Tsang
Jeannie has been in the veterinary industry since 2008. She was a Vet tech in Hong Kong and moved to Alberta in 2020. She was certified to practice in Canada in 2021 and also has her Fear Free certification, and is recover CPR certified. Jeannie has 3 cats who came to Canada with her. In her spare time she loves traveling, hiking, going out to watch movies with her friends, and loves to try different foods.

Darby Aamundsen
Darby grew up in Edmonton and moved to Calgary in 2020. She is our lead assistant and has always worked in the animal industry. Darby's passion has been caring for animals ever since she was young. She has worked with all types of animals and will always greet your fur babies with a smile! In her free time she likes to spend time with her own animals going on walks, fishing and camping.

Karem Mardorf
Karem moved to Calgary in 1974. Growing up she has always had pets of all shapes and sizes. Karem has worked as a volunteer at many rescues, shelters, and has a passion for working with animals. She has been in the veterinary industry since 2019 and is excited to welcome any and every pet that walks into the clinic.

Practice Manager
Liz Baron
Liz has been the Manager of Bowness animal hospital for 2 years now. She moved to Calgary from Ontario back in 2020. She grew up on a farm and spent her childhood around a variety of different animals from chickens to horses. She is also a groomer and is Fear free certified. She can help you with all of your fur babies needs. She loves bonding with her clients and patients and will always greet you with a smile. In her free time she loves to spend time with her pets and take her dogs swimming.

Alyea Ferguson
Alyea grew up just outside of Calgary and has always had a passion for animals. Growing up she has had many animals large and small. Alyea has had experience caring for both large animals and small. She has been in the veterinary industry for about 2 years and just completed the Veterinary Medical Reception program at Olds College. In her spare time she enjoys taking her dogs on walks, riding her horse and being with her family. Alyea is currently away on MAT leave.

Elizabeth Cameron
Elizabeth comes from a small town in northern Alberta and has been in the Vet Med industry for a year now after graduating from Lakeland College with a certificate for Veterinary Medical Assistant. She has always had a great passion for working with animals and loves to spend time with any pet she can. She is certified in both human and animal CPR.
